One of this festival’s entries is the premier of the first Albanian-Britannic coproduction of the essay movie “Here be Dragons” directed by Mark Cousins and produced by Dan Boyd, Genc Permeti and Ilir Butka. The movie was featured as a world premiere at Telluride’s Film Festival, one of the world’s most prestigious festivals, and comes at TIFF as a national premiere. Director Mark Cousins is invited at TIFF and will also present his movie “History of Film and Children”, which was presented in the last edition of Canes Film Festival 2013, making the Children’s Albanian Film a participant among other cinematography.
Nicolas Roegh is the confirmed guest of honor of this festival. He is the author of movies “Performance”, “Walkabout”, “The Man Who Fell to Earth” and more. Roegh is recognized as the author of some of most discussed movies of his time and a rare master of the living, active and true cinematography. For this festival’s audience he will present “Preformance”, 1970 featuring Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones.
Producer Don Boyd will present for the public the movie “Aria”, 1987, written and directed by ten most famous directors like Jean Luc Godard, Robert Altmann, Ken Russell, Nikolas Roegh, etc. The segment “One Night at the Opera” directed by Nikolas Roegh, which investigates King Zog’s assassination attempt in Vienna, 1931.
The very well-known Italian producer and screenwriter Amedeo Pagani, who has also produced movies by Teo Angelopulos, Liliana Cavani, Takeshi Kitano, etc. will present his controversial movie “Il Portiere della Notte”, 1974 by Liliana Cavani, written by Cavani and Amedeo Pagani.
Also for the first time, in collaboration with the Institute for Art and Culture of Taiwan, comes the 1993 movie “The Wedding Banquet” by director Ang Lee, winner of Oscar and many other prestigious awards. The movie will be presented by Max Wong.

Një ndër risitë e këtij festivali është premiera e koproduksionit të parë shqiptaro- britanik të filmit essè “Here be Dragons” me regji të Mark Cousins dhe producentë Dan Boyd , Genc Përmeti dhe Ilir Butka. Filmi u prezantua si premierë botërore në Telluride Film Festival, ndër më prestigjozët në botë dhe vjen në TIFF si premierë kombëtare. I ftuar në TIFF do të jetë vetë regjizori Mark Cousins. Në të njëjtën kohë regjizori Mark Cousins do të prezantojë dhe filmin e tij “History of Film and Children”, që u prezantua në edicionin e fundit 2013 të Cannes Film Festival, ku midis kinematografive të tjera përfaqësohet edhe filmi shqiptar për fëmijë.
I ftuari i nderit i festivalit është konfirmuar të jetë regjisori legjendar britanik, Nicolas Roegh autori i filmave “Performance”, “Walkabout”, “The Man Who Fell To Earth”, etj. Roegh konsiderohet si autori i filmave më të diskutueshëm të periudhës së tij si dhe ndër të paktët mjeshtër të vërtetë të kinemasë të gjallë dhe aktivë. Për audiencën e Festivalit ai do të prezantojë “Performance”, 1970 me Mick Jagger të Rolling Stones.
Producenti Don Boyd do të prezantojë për publikun filmin “Aria”, 1987 i shkruar dhe drejtuar nga 10 prej regjisorëve më të famshëm si Jean Luc Godard, Robert Altmann, Ken Russell, Nikolas Roegh, etj. Interesante për audiencën tonë do të jetë segmenti “One Night At The Opera” me regji të Nikolas Roegh, në të cilën trajtohet tentativa për atentat ndaj mbretit Zog në Vjenë në vitin 1931.
Producenti dhe skenaristi i njohur italian Amedeo Pagani, i cili ka prodhuar filmat e Teo Angelopulos, Liliana Cavani, Takeshi Kitano, etj. do të prezantojë filmin kontraversial “Il Portiere della Notte”, 1974 të Liliana Cavani-t me skenar nga Cavani dhe vetë Amedeo Pagani.
Në bashkëpunim me Institutin për Kulturën dhe Artet të Taiwan-it gjithashtu për herë të parë në program jashtë konkurrimit do të projektohet filmi “The Wedding Banquet”, 1993 i regjisorit Ang Lee, fitues i Oscar dhe i shumë çmimeve të tjera prestigjioze. Filmi do të prezantohet nga Max Wong.
